Here
is some brief information about myself.
I’m interested in science because I think it helps you to
understand the world. I like writing and editing because every project
is different – with CD-ROMs, I particularly enjoy the challenge
of working with multi-media. Although I’ve written loads of
books, I still get excited when the first copies of a new series
arrive!
Recent books include Floods and Hurricanes & Tornadoes in a series on Wild Weather for QED and Asthma and Down’s Syndrome for Hachette Children’s Books.
I was born in Yorkshire in England, but grew up in Stranraer, a
small town in south-west Scotland. I graduated from Edinburgh University
and then came down to London where I have lived ever since, with
my husband and two children, Miranda and Jack. I play tennis several
times a week and like walking. We have recently been on walking holidays in Spain and a trek in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, which was fantastic.
